The HomeNow Indy Initiative is a coordinated, system-wide approach connecting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis with rental assistance and services that will help them find housing and stay housed long-term. We are grounded in the belief that ending homelessness requires access to safe, affordable, and person-centered permanent housing choices.

Our Approach
We support individuals and families by connecting them with housing resources through HomeNow Indy. HomeNow Indy is a different approach to rehousing. It encompasses the entire Indianapolis ecosystem to make housing the central feature helping vulnerable individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability. It pulls the collective skills of our community together to collaborate through four components - Navigation, Housing Acquisition, Diversion and Case Management.

We are dedicated to creating stable, vibrant and healthy communities for all.
The HomeNow Indy initiative works to create access to housing for vulnerable populations at risk or experiencing homelessness. We work with low in-income individuals and families to remove the systemic barriers faced when trying to obtain safe and affordable housing. We serve individuals, families, seniors, veterans, youth and those that are chronically homeless because housing insecurity can impact anyone.
IMPACT
According to the 2024 Point-In-time count, 1,701 of our Indianapolis neighbors were experiencing homelessness. A 5% increase compared to previous years. Housing affordability and availability are often at the center of the problem, and RDOOR works to improve both in our community.
RDOOR's HomeNow Indy team works collaboratively with local service providers to provide assistance for clients to obtain housing. We provide valuable assistance to remove the barriers our clients face when getting housed.
