RDOOR Housing Corporation has more than four decades of experience developing, operating, and preserving affordable housing and has become a leading partner in Indianapolis' homelessness response system through implementation of the HomeNow Indy (HNI) Initiative. We strive to offer safe housing and supportive assistance through our housing approach designed to reduce the length of time individuals and families experience homelessness.

You may choose to support HomeNow Indy, which assists households experiencing homelessness in securing and maintaining permanent housing, or Onsite Supportive Services, which provides residents with access to resources and community-based supports that promote housing stability and well-being.

How your donation makes an impact?
According to the most recent Point-In-time count, there has been a 7% increase in neighbors experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis, leaving 1,815 of our communities most vulnerable individuals living in places not meant for human habitation. Across the state 6,675 people are directly impacted by homelessness, a 6% increase from 2024. Housing affordability and availability are often at the center of the problem, and RDOOR works to improve both in our community.
The need for this work is both urgent and well-documented. Marion County continues to face a severe housing affordability and eviction crisis, with over 116,000 eviction filings between 2021 and September 2025 and more than 25,000 filings in 2024 alone according to the most recent Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana Report. Additionally, nearly half of renter households in the county are cost-burdened, with many spending over 30% of their income on housing, leaving them highly vulnerable to housing instability.
These conditions disproportionately impact seniors, households with children, and individuals with disabilities; populations that RDOOR’s navigation services are specifically designed to support. Without targeted intervention, these households face significant barriers to securing and maintaining housing, often cycling between shelters, unstable housing, and eviction.
RDOOR's HomeNow Indy team works collaboratively with local service providers to provide assistance for clients to obtain housing. But we need your help. Your donation will help provide valuable assistance to remove the barriers our clients face when getting housed.
Onsite Service Coordination is essential to self-sustainability of the residents at our properties. Your contribution can help support families as they work to gain life skills and participate in regular activities that promote residents’ personal growth in areas such as housing retention, employment and finances.
